Russ LacuataSolid, outstanding dishes. I'm not a Peruvian cuisine connoisseur but we really enjoyed the food, it's flavorful and authentic. Generous portions good for sharing. I love the vibe, industrial feel of the place. I suggest to get a reservation since it can get very busy. Service was a bit chaotic, slow but we were not in a hurry. The timing is a bit off. Would love to come back and try more dishes next time.
Rafe OIf you're looking for authentic Peruvian food, look no further, this is the place in Pasadena. This is a casual restaurant nested in beautiful Pasadena. Parking structures are near so it is relatively easy to get there, park and walk a couple of minutes to this gem. The ambiance and genuine. The waiters and waitresses are very pleasant and the service is great. I recommend their most popular dish which is their Beef Lomp Saltado if its your first time. If you're familiar and with a date, you can share two dishes of your choice as they are big portions so thats a plus, otherwise be ready to take home leftovers. Enjoy!
Kimberly PuenteBodegon No 69 may have been a hidden gem until now, but after our recent experience, it deserves to be on everyone's radar! From the moment we approached the entrance, we could feel the warmth and welcoming ambiance that set the tone for an unforgettable evening. The dim lighting, rustic décor, and cozy atmosphere made it the perfect setting for a relaxing family dinner. I dined with a group of eight family members, and despite our large party size, we were greeted with genuine hospitality by the staff as soon as we walked in. The service was seamless from start to finish. Our waiter, Joseph, was nothing short of exceptional. His attentiveness, knowledge of the menu, and vibrant personality elevated our dining experience. He was patient in answering all of our questions about the dishes and made thoughtful recommendations that perfectly suited our tastes. It's rare to find such dedicated service these days, and Joseph really set the standard high. As for the food, we decided to sample a variety of traditional Peruvian dishes to get a true taste of what Bodegon No 69 had to offer. We ordered the Ceviche B69, Lomo Saltado, Tallarin Saltado, Anticucho, Bisteck a lo Pobre, and Chancho al Palo. Each dish was not only beautifully plated but also packed with layers of authentic flavor. The Ceviche B69, a highlight of the meal, was refreshing and expertly balanced with citrus, spice, and the perfect texture of fresh fish. The Lomo Saltado was incredibly flavorful, with tender pieces of beef stir-fried to perfection alongside onions, tomatoes, and crispy fries. The Tallarin Saltado, a noodle dish, had a delightful mix of stir-fried vegetables and savory chicken, bursting with umami flavors. The Anticucho, grilled skewers of marinated beef heart, was a bold and delightful choice--perfectly tender with just the right amount of smokiness. The Bisteck a lo Pobre, a hearty plate of steak served with fried eggs, plantains, rice, and fries, was comfort food at its finest. The Chancho al Palo, a roasted pork dish, was succulent and tender, with crispy skin that made it impossible to stop eating. What really impressed us was the attention to detail in every dish. You could taste the care that went into each plate, the freshness of the ingredients, the precision of the cooking, and the authenticity of the flavors. Every bite transported us to Peru, making it more than just a meal but an experience in itself. To say we were impressed would be an understatement. This is Peruvian cuisine done right, and we are so glad we found this place. Bodegon No 69 has now earned a permanent spot on my list of favorite restaurants, and we will undoubtedly be back to explore even more of the menu. A special shoutout to Joseph for making our night so memorable, his outstanding service truly added to the overall magic of the evening. Whether you're familiar with Peruvian food or trying it for the first time, Bodegon No 69 is an absolute must-visit. If you're lucky enough to have Joseph as your waiter, your experience will be even better. We can't wait to return for another round of amazing food!
Liz UriosteguiMUST TRY SPOT!!!!! So let me just say I’m fairly new to Peruvian cuisine- I love my mariscos mexicanos! Come to Pasadena for work and was looking for something refreshing to eat on my first day here and this place is it! I had their special B ceviche with a side of fried yuca and do the first time in a long time I finished MY ENTIRE MAIN PLATE! The place had a nice atmosphere and decor was great- but I mainly want you to focus on my experience with the food! I asked for spice on the side and it highlighted the dish! The flavors just lit up my senses and let’s just say I was doing the “happy dance” while I ate!!! If you got a girl that loves food- you know what I mean! My waitress was super friendly and helpful and made the whole visit feel welcoming- and that says a lot when you have spent the whole day in and out of airports!! Check out this place if you’re nearby and traveling or new to the area! If you’re local and have never tried- what is wrong with you!! Hurry, check it out! ❤️
Johnny RojasI was very excited to try this restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. I requested a water with no ice, and the glass I was given appeared to be dirty. I ordered the lomo saltado, but it lacked flavor and seasoning. Throughout our visit, our waitress, Sandy, made several mistakes with our order. She repeatedly asked the same questions and still managed to get the order wrong. It also seemed as though she was unfamiliar with both the menu and the ordering process. Overall, the service and food quality did not meet expectations. Based on this experience, I would not return or recommend this restaurant to others.
