We picked the perfect place to celebrate Mother's Day. So many people have recommended this restaurant and this was our first time here. Having walked past this restaurant so many times, we were surprised how much more spacious it actually is. Every review saying that the service is impeccable, warm, and friendly is spot on. The food..... AMAZING. No matter how full you are, don't skip out on the Chocolate Soup. Bistro 45 has quickly made its way to the top of our favorite dining experiences in Pasadena

Marvelous experience at Bistro 45! We came here to celebrate Mother’s Day and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and genuinely fun to be around. Everyone had such a humble attitude and great sense of humor that it made the whole experience feel warm and effortless. The food was outstanding. We ordered the whole works, and every dish delivered. The ribeye was phenomenal, the hanger steak was honestly the best I’ve ever had, and the appetizers were incredible. We also brought our dog Penny, and they were so kind and accommodating with her. They offered her Krug Krug Clos d'Ambonnay Champagne, but she respectfully declined and ordered a Beef Martini instead. This place truly has it all: amazing ambience, incredible food, and most importantly, genuinely kind people running it. This will absolutely become one of our new staples in Pasadena. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

This restaurant is an absolute gem and I can't believe that I did not know about it sooner. Robert, the proprietor, made us feel like we were coming to a family member's house for dinner. The whole staff was friendly and the service was amazing. It's a great place to have an intimate dinner, we were celebrating an event and we could all communicate without an issue. The food was also amazing, one of the best meals I've had in a while. It's clear that a lot of care is put into every aspect, especially the quality of the meals. This should be on everyone's top list of Pasadena restaurants.

Bistro 45 is the kind of establishment that I would consider a very rare gem in a sea of trendy/hip Pasadena and LA restaurants: it's unpretentious (but not uncool - it has a wonderful ambience), its staff and owners are truly welcoming and warm, and the menu is undeniably delicious and prepared with such care. I stumbled upon Bistro 45 while on one of my walks around the neighborhood—I was taken by its charming art deco exterior—and told my partner we had to try it. When we finally made it in, it quickly became our favorite restaurant in Pasadena, and that says something, because we really love food and we really love eating out. Everything from the starters, to the fresh made risottos and pastas, to the variety of entrees (my go-to is the diver scallops) is phenomenal. And equally important: Robert and Deborah, the owners, and their staff are incredible people. We've felt like family at Bistro 45 since the first day we visited. It was a no-brainer that we would host our rehearsal dinner here, and it was a beautiful, perfect evening. Robert gave a toast that we were not expecting and which made my friends and family tear up. The chocolate soup dessert also made a friend of mine tear up! Laura, the hostess, became very quickly beloved by my wedding party. When more friends and family joined us for drinks on the patio, everyone remarked about how good the passed hors d'ouvres were. The night was so perfect that my partner and I had a really difficult time extricating ourselves. I can't recommend Bistro 45 enough, whether it's for a special occasion, a date night, just drinks at the bar, or a large private event. You're in good hands here.

Excellent cuisine, wonderful service and accommodations, and most importantly a superb selection of flavors! Our welcome was warm and friendly, our waiter was first class and funny, and our meal was delectable and tantalizing to all senses. Clearly there has been great thought and execution in each step, from the front of house to the back of house. Everything was served perfectly, attentively, and gracefully. I will gladly drive back out here from Las Vegas, for my next meal with Bistro 45 with great anticipation for the next exciting adventure! Keep up the great work!
