Linda was amazing! This was my daughter’s first time having her hair braided. First step was to giver her a blow out. This was also my daughter’s first time doing a blow out, which she had to do first so she could braid my daughter’s hair. Linda was patient and kind throughout the entire process - no matter how tender headed my daughter was. Linda kept her composure and invited me into the process to ensure my daughter felt as comfortable as she possibly could. One thing I did not realize before our appointment is that Linda works out of a salon named American Beauties which has a wonderful group of women stylists who care for their clients hair as a form of revolutionary love. Each of the women went out of their way to help my baby girl and help me develop a deeper understanding of how to best work with my daughter’s hair. As a Chicana with straight hair I have embraced my mixed babies’ curls. I know I’ve come a long way since I first washed my daughter’s hair as a newborn, but I also know I needed their guidance to help me get to a new level in our mixed family’s hair journey. I am beyond grateful for the product recommendation for the specific type of hair my daughter has. I am deeply grateful for the invitation to come back to learn along side them as to how to do a natural hair style for my baby. I know the knowledge that was shared today came from a place of sincere kindness. We entered the salon feeling anxious not sure how it would all go and left feeling healed. Linda and the other American Beauty Salon stylists (Lake and Nia) are a God send for us. In my daughter’s words, “It hurt, but it was so worth it because the braids are beautiful!” She said, “I didn’t know her before today but it’s like she knew what was in my heart and what I wanted.”

Lee was amazing and very communicative. She helped me choose the perfect hair and style for my destination wedding. She was patient and gentle with my texture. My boho braids turned out BEAUTIFUL and gave me a great boost of confidence for my big day! I highly recommend that you give her a call if you need your hair done in a timely and professional fashion. I also recommend you buy the product available on her website specifically the mousse. My teen ended up stealing mine 😅

First time getting hair done with Linda.Communication has never been easier and faster.Clean and quiet establishment not rough with the scalp either.Chose a 6 stitch zig-zag style cornrows, very quick.Not very satisfied with the parts but overall pretty good experience.
