OMG I love this bookstore. The story behind the name is so beautiful. The people who work there are wonderful and so helpful. They have puzzles and cute little trinkets that are very on brand. Such a great bookstore!

A bookstore full of works written by black authors and other writers of color. They curate a wonderful selection of classics, romance, SFF, and non-fiction to create a space every reader, new or seasoned, can enjoy. I especially liked their shelf of James Baldwin!

This is a great bookstore. I bought a book for my granddaughter before the fire. She thought Gandhi's head was a moon. Didn't know too many words then. Returned today to revisit and the owner handed me a treat bag full of Sephora cosmetic products. She was so kind. I also discovered that she was one of my neighbors in Altadena, before the fire. Xoxo

I’m sorry this bookstore is amazing! Cannot say enough great things about it! It is like the cool home of your favorite relative! You want to hang out, explore, and simply be there as much as you can! Cool seating area! Amazing book selection! Beautiful layout and decor. Welcoming space! Cool stickers and patches, etc. The team here was very kind, engaging, genuine, and well versed! A variety of books and def something for everyone! There is street parking and a small lot. We found a spot north of the restaurant into the neighborhood about 1.5 blocks up. Beware the curbs are very high; you will not be able to open your car doors on the passenger side. Cool spot, hope to be back soon! Highly recommend. Please support these amazing local bookstores; they are part of what make life great!!
