Shawn ShengA nice Mediterranean restaurant run by a very friendly and welcoming owner. The menu is extensive and has lots of authentic Mediterranean options. The kebabs are very tasty and nice portions. The sandwiches are also well made. Plenty of outdoor seating and good service.
Jasmine ANote: Only rating the service, as that's the only thing I can actually rate. This incident actually happened a few months ago, but it was so odd that my husband and I still talk about it sometimes. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon, hungry and ready to try out a new restaurant. When we walked in, there was two old guys sitting at a table outside, chatting but not eating anything, as well as a large family/party of about 8, who were already well into their meal. I specify this to say that they were not busy. The outside dining area is huge and it was nowhere near capacity. My husband and I walked inside and stood near the entrance, unsure of the seating/ordering process, while two employees stood on the other side of the room, behind the counter. After an awkward pause, one of them asked us if we were dining in and we said yes. They told us to sit anywhere outside and they would be with us shortly. We went outside and sat down near the family, and the employee swung by and handed us menus. This is where it gets a bit weird. My husband and I reviewed the menus and selected our items, and then we waited for the employee to come back and take our order. But... Instead, we saw him walk past us a few times, and then he stopped and struck up a conversation with the large family. At face value, this behavior seems like good customer service, except he stayed and talked to them for so long, that it started to feel like he was neglecting my husband and I on purpose. As time passed and he only made himself more comfortable at the other table, my husband and I began glancing at each other. After about 20 minutes of waiting and watching him chat (yes, it was 20 minutes, I kept glancing at my phone), we'd had enough. They hadn't even taken our drinks down yet, and we were hungry, so we got up and started walking towards the exit. Still not a single acknowledgement our way. Overall, just strange behavior.
Russell AdamsThe food is very delicious and most authentic flavors for Mediterranean foods we tasted. The tiny dumplings were the most unique dish we had and the beef was lean and the sauces were flavorful. The service was helpful to navigate the the menu. The Grilled Garlic shrimp were large, tender and plentiful. It was especially good with the rice side and hummus. Outdoor seating not much to look at but the air was cool and fresh. Did take a picture after eating the Baba Ganoush but it was presented with spices and olive oil. It was so good with the thin and chewy pita bread...this restaurant was was delicious start to finish.
Firas TaherAbsolutely amazing food. It genuinely reminded me of my mom’s cooking..100% authentic Arab food, full of flavor and clearly made with care. You can tell this is the real thing. The customer service was just as great as the food. Super welcoming, kind, and family-oriented. You really feel the warmth the moment you walk in. Loved everything about this place and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend.
Dalya BarsamianAmazing spot in Pasadena! New owners are super nice and welcoming! Tons of shaded outdoor seating with TVs. The food is top notch! Ordered hummus, cheese rolls, mante and chicken kebab - all were super yummy! Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of their menu. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
