TLDR: Good for a one time visit for the historical value but $43 before tip for a pie and a cheeseburger is a bit steep. Food quality and flavor were great, not remarkable, but you’re paying for ambiance. This is old school diner vibe with hand spun shakes. Burger was delicious, fries were meh, pies were good and while I didn’t have it, the pot pie looked fantastic and I will be trying that next time. No complaints about anything but I’d say you’re paying a 10-15% markup for the vibe.

First time coming here and enjoyed my visit. When we arrived it was pretty dead but we did arrive like 40 minutes before closing and it was Sunday. The vibe is very much old school diner which gives it lots of personality. My friend ordered the hamburger combo and he enjoyed it. Said it was simple but good. He also said that the cherry pie was incredible. I forgot what my other friend got but he also enjoyed it. I got a slice of boysenberry pie and it was delicious. It was tart but sweet and warmed up which is excellent. I got a slice of pecan pie to go and my mom thoroughly enjoyed it. I will say though it's a bit pricey but it's got an awesome atmosphere and good food. Would recommend and come again for the rhubarb pie! FYI it's cash only so come prepared.

They have delicious picture perfect burgers!! Look at my cheeseburger i had last night with a combo, i swapped onion rings for fries with an upcharge. Their rootbeer is made in store. Everything is fresh and made, even their whipped cream is fresh, not from a can. You can taste the difference!! Yummy and fresh!! Try them out!! Don't forget to get their pie!! I got fresh strawberry pie slice to take home. This place is cash only, but if you forget, they do have an atm machine to the front area waiting inside. Highly recommended; 5 stars!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We lived in Pasadena in the 80s, and when my wife was pregnant with our younger daughter, Pie ’n Burger became her holy trinity: a burger, onion rings, and a slice of peanut butter pie. After disappearing for a few decades (me, not the diner), I finally went back for lunch and ordered the exact same thing. I’m happy to report that absolutely nothing has changed—the food is still delicious, the counter service is still fast and friendly, and the interior is still stubbornly, gloriously old school. Hooray for nostalgia on a plate! Ps. I continued the practice of going through all my napkins and asking for more.

Such a juicy burger. Fresh ingredients. The onion rings were just how I like them! Excellent fry, and perfectly crispy .. with some ranch. Nostalgic, classic diner feel. Counter service for a quick bite and friendly staff. Prices are a little steep but definitely give the a try. Cash only but they have an ATM.
