Bryan BishopVery cool atmosphere. Food was decent but the huevos rancheros were just alot smaller than I thought they would be. The forager omellete was bigger than my dish. The outside patio is nice but the interior is very cool as well. Considered one of the best brunch spots in Pasadena we enjoyed ourselves. Nice staff and good service overall. I would recommend trying it out for sure!
Anish Thakkar (Doc Thakkar)Magnolia House is set up like a welcoming bar meets a welcoming living room meets a chill outside for dining. Depending on where you go, the vibe could be very different. But even on a Wednesday - this place was busy! The menu is fairly limited in terms of options (one page) but good detail was put into each entree. Standouts include: -Zucchini and Feta Fritters: Cannot go wrong here, and sauce was excellent pairing. -Albacore crudo: not much food, but super tasty and on a bed of fried onions. -Wings: Whole, super well-spiced but needs better sauce than the aioli they have. -Pork Belly: Delicious Chashu style with plenty seasoning. -Cocktails: An amazing Last Word or 3 was had here.
Red RomeroI had brunch there today. I got the Eggs Benedict and it was delicious. It came with a side of super crispy, creamy potatoes and some fruit. The portions were a good size and the price was what you would typically spend on brunch. The place was really cute with great photo ops. Service was ok. They just greeted us, served us our food and gave us our check. Nothing exceptional. Overall, a good experience and I would definitely go back.
Jenny GarciaThis place is a must-visit in Pasadena. The service is always awesome, and on our most recent visit, our server made the experience even better. They were so friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the menu, offering great recommendations and making us feel really taken care of without ever feeling rushed. The food is fantastic, with a creative menu that has something for everyone. Everything we tried was fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The cocktails and wine list are impressive, and even their coffee drinks are top-notch. Whether you are going for brunch, lunch, or dinner, this spot never disappoints. I have been here a few times now, and every visit has been consistently great. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a place that delivers across the board.
The Guitar School Los AngelesWe stopped in for a late dinner. The wings were excellent—definitely the highlight. The salad was decent but nothing special, and the pork belly, unfortunately, missed the mark. One thing this place does really well is atmosphere. You can choose from several different vibes: outside by the fireplace, a cozy room with smaller tables, high‑top bar seating in a cool indoor-outdoor setting, or more traditional dining. There’s something for everyone. The service was terrific, too—our server was attentive and handled the few issues we had very well. Would I go back for dinner? Maybe. It’s not my first choice, but it has a great vibe. I will absolutely return for their happy hour (Monday–Friday, 3–6) and order those amazing wings again. I’ve heard good things about the burgers—maybe a bit pricey, but I can’t say from experience. Might give them a try sometime. Overall: Happy hour is a definite yes.
