This is a great bar! The people are so friendly and fun. They don’t offer food other than potato chips, but you can bring food in from other places. They have beer on tap and in bottles, great wine, and stellar cocktails.

It said it was open, but it was actually closed. We drove 40 minutes only to find a locked door on July 10. Very disappointing. Please keep your business hours up to date so people don’t waste their time.

Vincent hands down is our favorite bartender in Pasadena. His energy is great and his conversation is ten times better. I will be back to 1881 just to see Vincent!!

Worst experience of my life. The owner was really drunk and rude, yelling and being disrespectful with people from other countries. Don’t make the same mistake we did. She kicked us out.

Decent enough place. Very much a neighborhood type of bar. Small & old fashion "vintage". They have live Jazz every Wednesday. Good beer, wine, and spirits selection at reasonable price. Not fancy.
